2017 Diary

All our Wednesday open meetings are held in the St Nicolas Pastoral Centre (entrance off Church Road between Carolina's and Heads Up), starting at 7.30pm and finishing around 9.15pm. Meetings are free unless stated otherwise. Donations welcome for refreshments.

*** No evening meeting in May ***

The Friends of Bookham Commons have their annual fund-raising event on Wednesday 17th May in the Barn Hall, so we'll be attending that instead of holding our own meeting.

1st-30th June is 30 Days Wild!

The Wildlife Trusts are encouraging people to get outside and appreciate nature every day in June. We're taking part in 30 Days Wild: if you'd like to join in, email us a photo any day in June and we may put it on our Facebook or Twitter page.

Saturday 4th June 11am-4pm

Plant swap at Belvedere, Eastwick Road, Bookham, KT23 4BJ. Entry £2.00 Bring wildlife-friendly, medicinal or unusual edible plants, but if you have nothing to swap a donation of £1.50 per plant will be gratefully accepted

Friday 16th June 7.30pm

Along with Guildford Population Matters we're co-hosting a talk entitled Move Upstream by Karen Shragg. Karen is a writer, naturalist and activist who  delivers lectures on the impact of overpopulation on nature. The talk is at the Quaker Meeting House, Butter Hill, Dorking, RH4 2LE. £2 entry on the door, to include refreshments. 

Saturday 17th June 11am-4pm

We'll have our usual stall in the Harrison Room on Village Day

Wednesday 21st June 7.30pm-9.15pm

A practical gardening session at the St Nicolas Pastoral Centre. Bring along hand tools (no power tools) if you have them but there will probably be some spare. Refreshments to follow the session, or starting earlier if the weather is not kind!

Wednesday 20th September 7.30pm-9.15pm

Exploring what it would take to set up a repair cafe in Bookham or Mole Valley. Meeting in the St Nicolas Pastoral Centre. All welcome.
